Nara
Name: Nara
Culture: The Nara clan is known for their intelligence, ninjutsu that entails the manipulation of shadows, and tending of deer such as Rikumaru, which graze in a large area of the Nara clan forest. They also have kept a book with medicine preparations and effects for generations which imply they are skilled in the area of medicine. (Excerpt from naruto.wikia.com)
History: The Nara clan has a special relationship with the Akimichi and the Yamanaka clan. For several generations, members of these three families have formed "Ino–Shika–Chō" trios, named after the first part of the names of the members with the Nara members being the "Shika" in the trio. To strengthen the unity between the three clans, a member of the Sarutobi clan will give them special earrings to present to each generation head when they are promoted to chūnin after which they will swear their oaths. The earrings also symbolise that they are considered adults by their respective clans. The clan members also seem to favour wearing their hair in ponytails. (Excerpt from naruto.wikia.com)
Kekkei Genkai: Shadow Manipulation
Description: The Nara clan posses the unique ability to manipulate shadows. They can use this to channel chakra through their shadows and connect to opponents. This only works by using the contrast of light and darkness as a vessel/medium for their chakra. Because of this, if the user's shadow and the target's shadow are indistinguishable (for example if they were standing next to each other and their shadows overlapped) then they would not be considered connected. Most shadows interact with jutsu as normal, but basic attacks have no effect on them. Normal light does not affect shadows, however any chakra-infused light or exceptionally bright light will (see drawbacks). It should also be noted that Naras can still manipulate shadows during the night, due to moonlight.
Mastery: A Nara member who has mastered Shadow Manipulation will be able to use any shadows cast by inanimate objects within a 5m radius as if they were their own.
Drawback: Normal light does not affect shadows, however any chakra-infused light or exceptionally bright light will affect it. If the light source would normally not harm the shadow (an item, supplementary jutsu, etc), it will actually interact with the shadow as if an offensive jutsu at its current level. Light sources that would normally hurt the shadow receive +20% (offensive/defensive light-based jutsu, etc). Katon and Raiton jutsu over level 500 are considered to be bright enough to get this boost. Additionally, due to their concentration in shadows, Nara members can only learn a max of 3 Elements. Finally, even though Naras are able to manipulate their shadows at night via moonlight, they are still hindered by the low light level. During nighttime all shadow manipulation jutsus have half their normal range.

Jutsus:
- Spoiler:
- Name: Shadow Possession Jutsu (Kagemane no Jutsu)
Level: 500
Purpose: Offensive
Types: Prepared
Focuses: Ninjutsu, Shadow Manipulation
Duration: 3 posts
Cooldown: 4 posts
Description: The user extends their shadow across the ground and other surfaces (up to 25 meters at 50 m/s) in an attempt to connect it to their opponent's. Once connected, the opponent will assume the position the user is in and begin mimicking them entirely. The user can connect with other shadows while extending their own in order to to use them to increase the max range of this jutsu. If they do this, any distance spent within the other shadow will not be counted towards the max length the user can extend their shadow. This can even be used to "lead" the user's shadow massive distances if a shadow's source is moving. The user cannot use other shadows like this if they are unsubstantial (less than 1m in diameter). This jutsu has a drawback, however. If the user activates any other jutsus once connected to their opponent(s), the opponent(s) will be able to activate a jutsu at the same time as long as it requires the same number of hand signs. Each victim can also roll a die once per post to see if they break free (small chance).
Name: Shadow Sewing Technique (Kage Nui no Jutsu)
Level: 750
Charge Level: 250
Purpose: Offensive
Types: Charged
Focuses: Shadow Manipulation, Ninjutsu
Duration: Maintainable (250)
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: The user manipulates their shadow to form physical tendril-like needles from it, which lift off the ground and surround the user. The user can form up to 6 of these needles when this jutsu is activated. These can then be controlled freely, attacking several targets simultaneously and at the same time restraining them by sewing them stuck. Alternatively, these shadows can be used for manipulating objects or even just extending the user's shadow. These needles travel at 40 m/s and can travel up to 75 meters away. They are capable of piercing clean through the human body, however due to how thin they are, only cause internal bleeding as damage. For every needle that pierces a shinobi's body, they will suffer severe internal bleeding. After 12 full strikes, they will pass out from internal injuries.
